The aim of present study was to predict the attitudinal and behavioral outcomes among professional Iranian soccer coaches based on Job Characteristics Model (JCM) perspective. 122 coaches responded to 7-point Likert questionnaire of job characteristics (Jacko, 2004). Results of Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) showed that there are job characteristics of skill variety (0.66), feedback from job (0.63), autonomy (0.60), specialization (0.55), task identity (0.55), problem solving (0.47), task significant (0.47), and information processing (0.45), respectively among soccer coaches. Results of Path Analysis (PA) for prediction of attitudinal and behavioral outcomes showed that these outcomes mainly created in soccer coaches by criteria psychological states (especially meaningfulness of the work). Thus, it seems that for creating motivational settings in soccer coaches on professional level needs to more stimulation of skill variety, feedback from job and autonomy, because of they gave positive reactions to their variety job and profession aspects of attitudinal and behavioral.

The purpose of current study was to identify and prioritize the evaluation indicators of the performancesoccer coaches in Iran premier league from the viewpoint of coaches and soccer players. Statisticalpopulation consisted of all soccer head coaches and coaches (n=72) and Iranian’s soccer players(n=277) in 10th premier league (2010-2011). Total population was chosen as the sample which, in last,70 coaches and 197 soccer players, totally 267 persons, participated in this study. The date wascollected using a five Likert-type scale questionnaire include 60 items by a Semi-Structured interview.The validity was confirmed by knowledgeable masters, soccer experts and coaches. The reliability wascalculated by Cronbach’s alpha (α= 0.92). Exploratory factor analysis with a Direct oblimin rotation,ANOVA with repeated measure and Bonferroni post-hoc at Panalysis. Based on the result of factor analysis, 57 items were classified into five factors. The mostsignificant factors in evaluating the performance of soccer coaches are Technical & Educational (15items), Behavioral and Cultural (13 items), Team and Personal Management (11 items), Preservationand Promotion of Team (10 items), and Experience and Background (8 items), respectively. Also, therewas a significant difference between the priority of all evaluation factors of coaches' performance(except between Technical & Educational and Behavioral & Cultural) (P≤ 0.05). Finally, sport expertsand managers can evaluate the coaches by technical criteria according to the high priority of Technical& Educational and Behavioral and Cultural factors in this study; and evaluating the behavioral andcultural skills of coaches is important because of their vast communication with soccer players.
